Channeled Works
I have become very aware of the beauty of earth, the gifts Gaia has to offer us, and how we neglect to honor this perfect environment for the soul’s growth. Just as the relationships in our lives reflect who we are on a deep level, so the earth mirrors our belief in a greater intelligence, a consciousness beyond our five senses. I wanted to bring this energy into the monthly column I write on color for an online magazine called Spirit Side. A few people emailed to tell me they liked the article prompting me to read it again. Who wrote this I thought? I remember writing it but I hadn’t recalled the poetic-ness of its essence nor the wisdom. I realized that I do not have to meditate, align my chakras, connect to my guides, or invite spirit in to speak through me. The energy is already there it comes from my intention.
My intention had been to share the meaning of autumnal color. But what came first, was it my desire or did the desire find me? I often read channeled works and notice that the person channeling colors the work with their energy. It is rare to find 100% channeled work. I am quite sure this is the perfect plan of the divine. The right person is inspired to bring this information in because it will be colored by their energy. When information is in conflict, two channeled pieces saying different things, I also feel this is perfect. It initiates thought in us rather than passive belief. It inspires us to find the truth within ourselves. Here is the article I wrote:
The Winds of Change
“According to Hindu tradition green is the color of the heart chakra. A large part of the earth is green, echoing our inner connection to this planet we call home. In fact the word EARTH contains the same letters as HEART. At this time of year the earth reflects the changes we all experience, especially on a heart level.
Autumn brings a shifting spectrum of dynamic color, mirroring the downward spiral through the chakras, returning energy to the underworld for the winter. Born of the soil and returning to the soil! The green heart knows that it is time to retreat. Change augurs an opportunity for rebirth.
It transforms into yellow, orange, and red, finally losing its power in brown as it merges with Gaia. Yellow expresses its last breath of power, as if nature is remembering the sun before it goes into darkness. Burning through the orange is the memory of creation. In red the leaves appear to have one last dance of vibrancy before the inevitable fall to earth.
Nature reminds us that change is not revealed by one color but by all, depending upon where you are coming from, and where you journey to. Violet is the traditional color of transmutation, the shedding of a skin. Intuitively the soul prepares you for change by whispering suggestions, little nudges of color. This violet blanket of protection helps the spirit shed un-necessary baggage. It is a healing tool to assist the emotional self through the grief of loss, the loss of the old you. Louise Hay, author of “You Can Heal Your Life,” said, “People would rather die than change!” Change is the unwelcome stranger.
To assist you on this healing journey imagine that you are a tree. Visualize your roots grounding you into the earth. A rainstorm passes overhead showering through your auric field, cleansing you of any energy that no longer serves you. As the rain diminishes the wind gently sways your branches releasing any left over debris. Finally, bask in the sun’s rays, embracing you with warmth and love, energizing and protecting you with the promise of a rainbow, a pot of gold, and the gift of wisdom.”
At this time of year I travel south with my husband. Yesterday I watched the dolphins playing in the ocean. They too were traveling south. Their play reminded me to have fun. So this month remember to play, to have fun, to laugh, and to enjoy every moment on this earth.
