Gifts of Love
We recently bought a summer home and arranged for cream carpet to be laid. I had a feeling that something was going to go awry and so I covered my bases, or at least I thought I had. To our dismay a mistake was made and in place of the anticipated cream there was a sea of blue fibers. I wondered if my dislike for blue had attracted it to me.
Often when we dislike something enough we can magnetize it. This is because the energy we put behind it holds allot of emotion. For instance, think of something you intensely loath and then something you dislike just a little. Notice how much energy accompanies each feeling. The loathing energy will have a far greater intensity. It is this force that attracts to you what you most dislike and fear. It is also the energy that invites what you most want and desire in your life. Initially this was my thought, but life is simpler than we think.
I asked spirit why we had a blue carpet instead of a cream one. I was told that it was so my husband could express his sentiments about how our relationship works for him. Had we not had the carpet trauma he would not have communicated his feelings and I would have been none the wiser. The burglary had also brought out hidden emotions and exchanges – pleasant ones – that have helped our relationship to grow. This was a lesson for me. I was looking for the “Big Reason,” wondering if I had created this or if I was being punished for something. Yet this whole drama was created so that we could understand and open our hearts to each other.
I have come to realize that every life experience is designed to open our hearts a little more and a little more and a little more. We hold allot of grief in our hearts. I remember visiting Princess Diana’s home shortly after her death. There were many people grieving for Diana and yet they did not realize that their loved ones in spirit were walking beside them. Diana’s death allowed us to let go of old wounds and open our hearts. It was a mass catharsis. On the other side of the world Mother Theresa’s departure from this life initiated the same grieving process.
Our hearts need to open so that we can live authentically. The heart is the gateway to heaven, close your heart and you lose touch with the essence of your whole being. This life and everything in it is created by your heart for your heart in order for you to fully express your true self. Your heart is your truth. There is a story about truth. When the Gods created Earth they had to decide where to put truth. One God said “Lets put it on the highest mountain.” Another God said, “Let’s put it at the bottom of the deepest ocean.” And another said, “Let’s put it on the farthest star.” Finally, one wise God said, “No, let’s put it into the hearts of every human being because that’s the last place they will look!” What is your truth?
There is a reason behind everything and the reason is to evol-e through the reflected image of love.
Think of all those times when you could have chosen to give love and didn’t.
- What did you have to gain by not giving love?
- What could you have gained by giving love?
Make the decision to take the time each day for at least the next thirty days to be love, to express love in every situation. If a situation is difficult breath and imagine you are inhaling the essence and the wisdom of the divine into every cell of your body. Know there is a lesson to be learned in every moment of your day and invite the lesson with love. Walk in nature and see the love manifest around you. Connect with your guides and angels each day and thank them for surrounding and protecting you with love.
Enjoy the fall.
