Grace
“Our surrender invites grace,” this is what Paul Ferrini author of Grace Unfolding says. As most of you know I am happily creating Rainbow Spirit bracelets. I love these miniature rainbows of living energy. Well, the most recent creation is called Grace. I had a very strong image of Mother Theresa as I made it and could not work out what it’s name would be. I knew that it was not Theresa, but wondered if it was Mother. I gave it this name and then waited for a clear message of it’s title. Finally the name came.
I wondered what Grace meant. As Paul Ferrini says, it is surrender from separation, surrender to the truth, surrendering to complete consciousness through absolute awareness of self. By surrendering our ego self we can become more aware of the truth. Maybe surrendering to life instead of trying too hard.
I had been holding onto the idea that my first book should be about my work on color or based on my psychic mediumship. Instead my Wishing book wanted to be first and I could not work out why. Then a friend enlightened me. She suggested that it is more mainstream and will draw more people to my work, possibly open new doors for those who would not have been previously interested in the work I do. I am always telling people this same thing.
As healers we have to work in certain places so that we can help those who would not necessarily seek us out. I could hear myself, my own words coming back to me through my friend. Funny how others can see something so obvious and yet our ego can get in the way and we can’t see it because we are focusing in a particular direction, the direction we want to take. I surrendered to her message and it felt great.
Is there something you have been holding onto, maybe an idea or a vision, or a relationship that needs you to surrender to what your ego wants and let go into a greater consciousness and therefore a heightened awareness of the truth? When something is not working in our lives it is often because our ego (Edging God/Grace Out) has a limited vision. Our spirit does not have this kind of limitation, so surrendering with grace opens the door to the truth of spirit and allows us the walk the path of truth.

Make a Wish

I had the feeling that my book needed to change it’s name and it has. Now it is called Wishing: How to Fulfill Your Heart’s Desires. At first I wasn’t sure about the title. Then I re-read the book and realized that I had written a lot about fulfilling your heart’s desires. It is something that comes from my heart to yours. So, without knowing it my heart’s desire was a repeated element within my book, an affirmation of its essence and one of the keys to Wishing and now that wish has been fulfilled.
My first book, Wishing: How to Fulfill Your Heart’s Desires will be published May 2008 by Atria/ Beyond Words/Simon & Schuster.
