Happyness

It seems there is a World Happiness Database in Rotterdam containing information gathered from people around the world about what makes them happy. It was no surprise to discover that married, extroverted optimists are happier than single, introverted pessimist. Some careers encourage more happiness than others such as being a nurse as opposed to a banker. And having a short commute to work can potentially make you happier according to the research.

Denmark is top of the “Happiness list,” with Iceland and Switzerland not far behind. What is surprising is that the United States is seventeenth on the list and rank lower than some countries with less freedom. Great Britain is not much better at twenty-second.

So what do we need to do to be happier as a nation? Happiness comes from within, it isn’t something that comes from outside of us. It does not increase by the number of acquisitions we make. Happiness is a way of being. For me it is my faith in something other than my physical life. My happiness comes from knowing that I have a purpose and that on this journey through life I have like minded souls who have agreed to travel with me. This makes me happy.

Here are a few ideas to help you be and stay happy:
1. Think positive! Positive thoughts affect not only your state of being but your physical health as well.
2. Follow your intuition. In other words follow your heart.
3. Have a purpose. Maybe volunteer to help others.
4. Appreciate your life and the people in it.
5. Take things lightly! Will it really matter this time next year?
6. Be true to yourself by being authentic. Pretending to be someone you aren’t puts pressure on you.
7. Take time for yourself, treat yourself to a massage or meditate daily.
8. Choose the right relationships. If someone does not make you feel good then you know what you need to do!
9. Set goals. This will help you to stay on track with your purpose.
10. Love your job and bless the abundance it brings you.
11. Give someone a compliment. By doing this you make them happy and their happiness rubs off on you.
12. Watch a funny movie. Laurel and Hardy’s movie where they try to deliver a piano makes me howl with laughter.
13. Learn to be happy with what you have instead of being miserable about what you don’t have.

Make a Wish

It’s Valentines month, so for all you folks who are wishing for a new relationship or new friendship or to connect like minded souls then try this. Consider what you most want from this connection - is it love, respect, companionship, someone to play with? Close your eyes and imagine that this person is in your life right now. How does it feel?

Now imagine that you are opening your heart to this person like opening your front door, and let he or she or them into your heart. How does that feel?

With your eyes closed visualize or sense this energy spreading throughout your being, expanding , creating lines of energy that stretch beyond your being to others on the planet and beyond. Imagine that they open their hearts to the energy as it reaches them. See them smiling and appreciating their connection with you.

Now come back to yourself and say thank you. Open your arms and welcome in the energy from your soul mates.

Rainbow Spirit

This months Rainbow Spirit is connecting with Your Guardian Angel.

Everyone has a Guardian Angel. According to my guide Alim, Guardian Angels watch over us, but do not come as close or work as intimately with us as our guides. He told me that if a person is in danger then the guide cannot interfere, but instead can request intervention by the Guardian Angel. If it is appropriate, the Guardian Angel can change energy and direct the person away from danger.

Each Guardian Angel has a color - no color is better than another. Through the color you can find the name of this most blessed Angel.

Find a comfortable position and close your eyes. Do whatever you need to do to relax. As you do this imagine that you are stepping out of your body to be greeted by one of your guides. Ask your guide to take you to the Temple of the Guardian Angels. The temple will appear in a form that is most comfortable for you. Once inside the temple, be aware that your heart begins to vibrate with a tune. Notice a group of Angels gathering in the entrance hall. As you near them your heart song increases. The Angels know that you have come to meet your special helper and step aside to reveal one Angel facing you who is also vibrating with the same heart song. This radiant being has nothing but love for you.

What color is your Angel? What is your Angel’s name?

Now ask your Angel any questions you need answers to at this time. Feel the love and devotion of this beautiful Angel as you connect on a heart level. Once your conversation is finished, thank your Angel for meeting you, and for agreeing to protect you during this lifetime. Be aware that your guide has drawn closer to you ready to show you back into your body and into this present moment.

Before you open your eyes, make a conscious decision to remember the heart energy that you experienced between you and your Guardian Angel. This will help you naturally reconnect whenever you wish to be in contact with your Guardian Angel. Once you have this locked into your memory bank, take a few deep breath and come back into your being.


Healing Circle

The Healing Circle is for those in need of healing. Think of those who are in need of healing surrounded by blue and white light. Imagine them healthy, full of light and love, and with smiles on their faces. You can imagine their light bodies releasing dis-ease and shining brightly with perfection.

This month I would like to include anyone who believes they are “less than” other people. We are all equal because we are “all one!”

If you are in need of healing and would like to be included in this Healing Circle Book then drop me an email. If you know of an individual who is in need of healing and would like to add their name to this list, then you might like to ask their permission first. The names on the Healing Circle list will be added to my Healing Hearts Book. I focus on the names in the book during my meditations, this is called absent healing.
