New Year Re-Soul-u-tions!

Happy New Year!

This is always a time of resolutions. Interesting how that word is re-solution, as if the solution was already there we just had to find it again.

I have three re-soul-u-tions. My first is to be more disciplined about my meditation practice. My guides have been impressing me to meditate twice daily, but so far I have only managed once a day. I feel resistance to doing this work, although I am aware that this is the next step for me. Meditation grounds, centers, and focuses my energy. Without it I am scattered and my psychic energy tends to impact on my nervous system.

If you have the same experience then try meditating for just 10 minutes a day. The Dalai Lama is said to meditate for five hours each day, but it’s unlikely that he has to do the shopping or cook for the family. Ten minutes is enough to get your circuits aligned. Once you make this a regular event try extending the hours. (We teach what we most need to learn you know!)

Another step I am taking is being more conscious of my energy levels. I have been researching some information about the electromagnetic energy of the computer. We all know how harmful it can be and the effect it can have on our bodies. Well, I have been working on the computer every day for long periods of time and my energy has been feeling oddly depleted. A few days ago I discovered a program claiming to reduce the effects of electromagnetic energy on the body. I tried it and it works! At least it works for me. I feel much better. My last re-soul-u-tion is to tell my body that I love it more frequently. To spend time connecting with each part, to send loving energy to it, and to appreciate its existence. Touch is so important. People heal faster when they are loved and touched. I have regular massages and I know my body appreciates the attention, but I need to give it personal, loving attention. When I have thought of doing this in the past I tried to cram in a touchy-feely session for my whole body all in one go. This didn’t work too well, I could always find something else to do. So this time my resolve is to focus on a particular body part each day.
