Aura Reading and Aura Color Meaning

Aura Reading
An Aura Reading is a unique way to discover your “true colors.” Developing your aura reading ability and learning to identify aura color meaning can enhance your understanding of the human psyche. Aura reading has been the domain of many psychics. But aura reading is simply an ability to decipher energy. Changing visual focus and/or altering one’s state of consciousness can achieve aura reading.
Aura Color Meaning
The aura color meaning has been the province of psychics due to their aura reading ability. Each aura color meaning has a traditional, personal, and esoteric approach. For instance, the aura color we associate with love and anger is red. Traditionally the aura color meaning of red relates to love and anger but it also conveys a feeling of power. Personally the aura color meaning of red is movement and passion. I often see red in the auras of those who are enthusiastic about their direction and purpose. Esoterically the aura color meaning of red is survival and grounding.
Connecting With Your Guides
This meditation will help you to connect with your main guides and helper guides. It will also assist you in discovering your purpose in this lifetime, help you to recognize your role at this present moment, and answer any questions you may have about any current life issues.
Aura Color
There is an erroneous belief that we have just one aura color. You are a rainbow of aura color, a multi-faceted being. Aura reading is a complex process of interpreting many dimensions. The aura color reflects the thoughts, emotions, physical condition and spiritual beliefs of an individual. Each aura color can be read individually and in combination with the aura color either side. The aura color meaning is interpreted using intuition, knowledge and spirit guidance. Although I am compiling a glossary of aura color meaning the aura color meaning for each aura reading I give is personal to that person. Hence, any dictionary of aura color meaning is only a guide and not an absolute.
Aura-Soma: A Message in a Bottle
Aura-Soma - Born of the Goddess
Aura-Soma, a soul related system of dual colored bottles, began in a garage in England. Born through the blind apothecarist Vicky wall's clairvoyant vision and described as a "Mirror for the Soul," Aura-Soma is a unique facet of color therapy that has the potential to heal on all levels. Containing natural coloring, oil, water from the Chalice well in Glastonbury, herbal and crystal essences, aromatherapy oils and of course love, Aura-Soma is a complete system that allows an individual's intuitive insight to attract the right healing tool.
"Divide the waters, my child," Vicky had been told during a meditation in the early 1980's. She had no recollection of how she created the first Aura-Soma color bottles. It was as if unseen hands guided hers. Nor had she any idea of the bottles use. Standing in front of them they seemed to communicate their name and meaning of "Balance." Their "Aura-Soma" title was yet to be discovered.
Aura-Soma Balance
Divinely inspired, the Balance bottles first appeared at a conference where their purpose became clear. Some people were attracted to them because they were going through emotional change. Those needing assistance with physical issues also gravitated toward the bottles. Others just loved the calming influence of their gem-like appearance. Although Vicky had little knowledge of color she came to realize that identifiable challenges were reflected by specific color combinations. She quickly recognized their ability to heal on many different levels of being.
The Meaning of Aura-Soma
The name Aura-Soma came to Vicky in another meditation. Aura, derived from the ancient Greek word for "light," is the electromagnetic energy field surrounding all consciousness. The auric field is made up of many different dimensions containing a variety of color. Soma the Greek for "being," also Sanskrit for "Living Energies," represents the body or vehicle of expression on various levels. When a color is worn its energy is absorbed by the auric field of the wearer. Sometimes the energy field vibrates to a different color, so the same color worn on a different day may look out of balance.
Aura-Soma is the first system to harmoniously combine color with the innate healing properties of the natural world. Using the vibrational element of each component as part of a key to unlock the door to consciousness, the un-intrusive beauty of the Aura-Soma system empowers each individual to recognize his or her vibratory make-up within the chosen colors. Vicky's understanding of the energies held within the Aura-Soma Balance bottles came from her inner vision and clairvoyant realizations. For example, she recognized that many Atlantean souls were drawn toward the turquoise and blue range of Aura-Soma bottles, healers were attracted to the violet vibrations, and inter-planetary healers connected with gold and violet.
Connecting to Your Aura-Soma Balance Bottles
The Aura-Soma Balance oils or Equilibrium as they are also known, synchronize the wavelengths of the body's electromagnetic energy system. We are "Hue-man" beings and are essentially composed of light and color. Each individual is attracted to the colors he or she currently vibrates with. A consultation with an Aura-Soma practitioner consists of a choice of four bottles. Once chosen the practitioner will tell your story through the chosen colors, missing colors, the numerological influence of each bottle and its relationship with the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. The chosen colors mirror a small aspect of the consciousness of the chooser at that moment in time. If the bottles are chosen at different times they may reflect another aspect of the chooser, just like chapters in the story of your life.
Naming the Aura-Soma Bottles
In Vicky's studio were she kept her Aura-Soma Balance bottles, her all green herb oil kept losing its color. She noticed that a peach tree in the garden was ailing and wondered if that had anything to do with the disappearance of the green within the bottle. She was intuitively drawn to place a red/green balance bottle in the ground next to the trees roots.
Some time later the bottle was found by a friend with all the color drained. The peach tree recovered and the following year it was laden with fruit, more than it had ever been before. Not only that the fruit had changed from a creamy color to a beautiful rose pink. This particular Aura-Soma bottle was named, "Go hug a tree!"
The bottles mirror consciousness. Sometimes the colors within the Aura-Soma bottles change reflecting whatever issues the owner is confronting at the time. The color can be completely drained from the bottle if that person needs more of a particular vibration to become whole again.
As a mirror of the soul, Aura-Soma reflects an aspect of the soul's purpose during this lifetime, the lessons an individual has chosen to experience, the gifts gained and the tools to achieve fulfillment of this desired objective. Through the magic of the color-infused oil and water we can see our true reflection, minus the ego and all the shackles of this lifetime. Its purity and innocence vibrate within each Aura-Soma bottle as if we are being seen and accepted for the first time.
Aura-Soma Pomanders
Aura-Soma produces a range of support systems to align the subtle bodies with a chosen path. The Pocket Pomander is one of these supportive elements used to strengthen and protect the auric field. The Pomanders contain many different herbs and come in fifteen colors. By accident the Pomanders strength was proven through the Kirlian photography images taken at one of Vicky's Aura-Soma workshops. A way of photographing the electromagnetic emanations from a living organism, the photos showed a brighter corona around the fingertips of the people who had used the Pomanders.
Aura-Soma Pomanders can protect the field from environmental drainage as well as from those with vampire-like energy and are particularly useful against any negative or challenging energy.

Aura Soma - A Message from the Masters - The Quintessence
Another wonderful gift from Aura-Soma is the Master Quintessence. Each Aura-Soma Quintessence is unique and invokes the positive energies of its color. They work on a higher vibrational level than the Pomanders, opening up a pathway to the intuitive and spiritual perceptions within the being. Each Master energy reflects a higher level of consciousness.
Using the Aura-Soma Quintessence linked with a particular Master can encourage the essence of that Master to be embraced by the auric field and chakra system, allowing for greater understanding on our journey through this lifetime. Serapis Bey is a particularly strong auric cleanser and a valuable tool for therapists. Healers, those who have incarnated on the path of service, can be vulnerable to the subtle energies emitted by their clients. Serapis Bey cleanses the energy picked up by the healer and transforms it into light.

Using Aura-Soma
Aura-Soma is a wonderful way to reconnect your body, soul, and spirit, assisting this collective energy to work in harmony. The vibrant colors and the essential elements contained within each Aura-Soma product lift the spirits to a higher level of well-being. Born of the Goddess this soul-oriented system inspires us to return to the whole Hue-Man beings we incarnated to become. A none-intrusive, self selective therapy, Aura-Soma sets in motion the natural rhythm of healing on all levels of being.
The Evolution of Aura-Soma
There are many copies of the Aura-Soma soul system, but none compare to the beauty nor the spirit of Vicky Wall's original Aura-Soma bottles. It is an evolving system currently comprising 106 balance bottles, 15 pomanders, 15 quintessence's, and various other balance products. Just being in the presence of the Aura-Soma Balance bottles is healing, and this is the most important aspect of our journey through this lifetime - to be healed!
My Work
I became interested in color symbolism as a child. Able to perceive auric energies from a very young age my mother, a yogini, encouraged and supported my ability, occasionally interpreting the colors I saw. She gave me a number of books on the subject but these held little information about the colors and combinations of color. At first I wondered if the people who wrote the books had actually what I was seeing as the interpretations differed and many did not ring true. I discovered that each person had their own interpretation and that color would reflect their view, but not in every case.
Twenty years ago I trained as a Color Therapist and through this discovered Aura-Soma. This beautiful system helped me appreciate the symbolic meaning of color combinations within the auric field. It is not just a case of one dominant color within a field. Your whole life, past, present, and potential, is held within this living organism. There are many colors, although there is often times a dominant energy.
In my counseling sessions I use Aura-Soma bottles in conjunction with my ability to see auric energy fields. Sometimes I see more color than my clients choose. I believe I am seeing a greater picture of who they are, maybe going deeper into their soul than they have chosen to look. We are on a path of healing. Any tool that can help us connect to a deeper aspect of ourselves is a valuable asset for self-healing, self-knowledge, and enlightenment.

You Are the Colors You Choose
We all have our own fashion style, but did you realize your choice of colors may actually reveal more about you than just your tastes or that the colors you wear may even affect your moods?
It is now accepted that color can be used to stimulate or inhibit certain behaviors. Advertising executives are well aware that a product can have a completely different impact if the color of the packaging is changed. Psychologists have found that certain colors in our immediate environment can help us perform some tasks. For example, exercise is best performed in an environment of warm colors, such as reds and oranges, whereas the tranquil blues and greens are ideal for mental concentration.
Quite often the sayings in the English language have tapped into a deeper interpretation of the colors. Red with rage, green with jealousy, purple passion, feeling blue, he is yellow, are well known to most people. However, each color has a cornucopia of meanings associated with it. If you would like to understand what some of the common colors mean see the chart.
Your choice of color
Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung encouraged his patients to use color in their paintings to express the deepest unconscious part of their psyches. We all go through “favorite color” phases. It has been discovered that personality traits are reflected by your preferred color. Extroverts favor the color red, introverts prefer blue, yellow is the choice of intellectuals, and well-balanced individuals tend to go for green colors.
Using color positively
Apart from recognizing whether something suits you or not, an inner sense tells you which color to wear. Deny this feeling and you could be ignoring a benevolent influence. For example, red increase’s energy and promotes free movement. For a woman it can reflect changes in the reproductive cycle such as menstruation or ovulation. If you have a sudden desire to wear red it could indicate that you are about to experience a tiring day and need all the help you can get. Interestingly when traffic lights were first introduced people had great difficulty stopping for the red light because on a psychological level red means “go” and green means “stop.”
Are you prepared to wear your feelings on your sleeve?
Why do you look great in a color one day and the next time you wear the same color it looks dreadful? It is because the color no longer reflects who you are in that moment. Wearing a color can cause you to act and react to life in different ways. Your choice offers insight into current life issues and can, in some instances warn of potential illness.
Color and illness
Each color has positive attributes or truths and the opposites of these are challenges. For instance, the truth of the color blue symbolizes faith and communication. The challenge is a lack of faith, depression, and difficulty with speech. Conscious awareness of the colors you choose to wear can offer insight into potential change in your life. For example, Illness of some kind can be indicated when a color that is out of character is worn frequently. If the red range of colors is worn regularly it could point to a physical condition, the color blue an emotional imbalance, and yellow a nervous state.
Dis-ease means that we are out of balance, color can help to re-balance and make us whole again. Red colors are good for improving circulation and orange has been found to be beneficial for children with autism. The color green is useful for calming and balancing the heart, and is supposed to influence regeneration of cells and elimination of toxins. This is the basis of Color Therapy. Color healing was used in the temples of Heliopolis in Ancient Egypt, as well as in China and India. Hippocrates, the founder of modern day medicine, placed colored strips on cuts to aid in the healing process.
The Gray Areas
Black is a popular non-color, often worn to suppress and protect the emotions. Any color worn with it is a paradox since it represents unrealized potential. The promise of power that black evokes lies within the consciousness of the wearer. Combined with another color it augers control over its influence. With red colors it controls physical power and yellow colors intellectual power. White on the other hand highlights a color and worn alone symbolizes a clean palate, completion, purity, cleansing, and strength. The challenges of white are those that accompany a new start, anger, vulnerability, and tears. Gray is the combination of black and white and symbolizes the diversity of the two creating a state of caution.
Combining Colors
When colors are combined each influence reflects off the other. Wearing green with the color red puts a different slant on the meanings. As green means stop and red means go, these colors together can signify a difficult decision, usually involving staying or leaving a situation. Wearing these colors can aid in the decision making process through the vibratory influence of each color.
Color Therapy
Whether it’s a date or an interview think about the impression you want to make. Use the information on the color page to plan your wardrobe and achieve the greatest impact. The truth of each color symbolizes potential, the challenges indicate blockage. Wearing a color can stimulate and/or counteract either of these energies. For example, if you are lecturing wear blue colors, for a steamy night of passion bring out the red dress, and if it’s attention you are seeking opt for the limitlessness of the color yellow. If you wear more than one color combine the meanings and create your own new potentials and challenges.

Body language
Once you have mastered the art of color interpretation begin to incorporate the body language of color. For example, legs symbolize movement - moving forward, backward or standing still. Green worn in this area might signify a move to the country; standing still and feeling stagnant; or walking back into ones past. Alternatively, it could indicate a move toward making or saving money, or, signify a lack of abundance due to lack of movement. On the other hand, wearing green may be a subconscious desire to attract abundance.
Head - how we feel about ourselves
Neck - flexibility of thinking and communication (openness)
Front - capacity to give and receive life
Back - support
Midline - ability to assimilate life
Arms - life experience
Hands - abilities
Genitals - sexuality
Legs - movement
Knees - flexibility to change
Feet - understanding of ourselves and of life
Have fun with analyzing your choice of color. As you become adept you will attain an understanding of yours and others motivations. Gradually your individual experience will color your interpretations.
At least for the time being you will be more aware of what your clothes are saying to those around you, and what you want them to say!
Opening Chakras: The Root Chakra
The Root Chakra Elements
Sanskrit Name: Mulhadhara
Meaning: “Root support”
Root Chakra Element: Earth/Physical
Root Chakra Keywords: “I Am” – grounded, present, safe, secure, healthy
Associated Color: Red
Musical Note: C
Organs: Spinal column, legs, hips, kidneys and adrenal gland
Root Chakra Consciousness: Survival, grounding and balancing the physical and spiritual life
A Balanced Root Chakra
When the root chakra is balanced you feel grounded, centered, and able to live in the here and now effortlessly. You feel alive with a strong connection to yourself and those around you. Your life is working on all levels, but even if there are areas that are not working you are confident that they will work out. You are healthy and want to take care of yourself, usually manifesting as an interest in your nutritional intake and physical exercise.
When the root chakra is balanced you are able to manifest an abundance of everything you need to survive.
Root Chakra Hobbies
Going out to dinner, cooking, charity work, (a need to help others with their survival issues) work connected with the hands such as gardening or building work, physical exercise – walking, aerobics, tai chi, etc., playing with money such as the stock market, Monopoly and gambling but not to the excess, the physical raw type of love-making, hunting and any game involving muscle.
Blocked Root Chakra
When the root chakra is blocked there is an interruption in the flow of earth energy - your grounding and nutrition - so part of you will say, “what is the point of being here,” or “why am I here.” You will be in denial of life and life’s lessons. You will feel disconnected, rootless, alienated from others. You may have severe mood swings. Your ability to manifest will not flow. You will lack energy both physically and mentally to give you the boost you need to survive your life on earth. You will fear for your survival but lack the energy to do anything about it.
Over-active Root Chakra
You can be domineering, highly strung so that you have difficulty sleeping. You may become greedy, aggressive, sexually manipulative, reckless, impulsive, and see everything and everyone as a threat.
Under-active Root Chakra
You can appear weak, tired, lethargic, and overcautious. You will be afraid of change. You lack confidence, fear of being abandoned, harbor self-destructive tendencies and become disinterested in life.
The Root Chakra Consciousness of survival:
Each chakra is linked with a corresponding gland, usually located in the area of the chakra. The adrenal glands are associated with the root chakra, despite being higher up on the body than the chakra location. This gland manufactures the “fight or flight” hormone, adrenaline, which is stimulated by extremes of emotion such as fear, anger or panic. It can create a titan within us, boosting the energy system, stimulating incredible acts of courage and making our bodies strong enough to single handedly lift up cars, and remove us from danger. It speeds up the heart pumping blood around the body giving much-needed nutrients to the muscles and cells.
Life lessons:
Connect to parents, tribe, survive, procreate

Psychic Awareness Meditation
Keep a psychic routine. Work at your psychic development once a week at the same time of day. Make sure you do not have any distractions. Sit in Egyptian pose. Close your eyes and take a few deep cleansing breathes.
Cleanse the room:
Visualize a beautiful ball of sparkling white light in the center of the room. As you focus your attention on this light see it become larger and brighter, larger and brighter still, until it completely surrounds and embraces you. Feel the light cleansing your mind, body, spirit and emotions, filling each of your bodies with light. Give anything you have been holding onto, any negativity, into the light. See it being transmuted and absorbed by the light. If there is excess energy see this as formless and harmless and taken back into the earth. Expand the light into every corner of the room cleansing the room of any negativity. If you find an area of darkness fill it with light – no darkness can live in the light. Expand the light until it becomes an enormous bubble embracing the building within. See the light cleansing the building above, below and the sides. (When you are satisfied that your space is clean, say a prayer).
Prayer:
Great spirit. Surround me with your light, love, peace, and power. Help me to be at one with you. (Say your part of the prayer – whatever you are working with). Bless you.
Ground:
Ground yourself by imagining roots going from your feet and the base of your spine down, down, down, into the center of the earth. Ask Gaia to share her energy with you and bring this energy up through your roots into your root chakra opening your root chakra wide. Bring this energy up to each chakra in turn opening them wide both front and back. Open the crown chakra wide and see earth energy streaming out and flowing through your auric field like a fountain returning the energy to earth completing the circuit.
Visualize a ball of golden light above your head. This is the light of the divine, Great Spirit, God. Feel this energy flood your crown chakra intensifying each chakra with wonderful golden light, expanding your auric field with energy. Get a sense of the optimum balance of earth and divine energy within your psychic body and adapt your energy. Invite your guides, especially your main guide to work with you. You are now ready to work.
If at any time you feel light headed you probably need more earth energy. If you feel heavy you probably need more spiritual energy.
Closing Down The Chakras:
Before you close down say a prayer to thank spirit for working with you. To close down visualize a spotlight of light above your head showering and cleansing your subtle bodies. Any dross you have picked up is transformed by the light into formless and harmless energy and taken back into the earth. Contract your auric field bringing it closer to your body. Reduce the size of each of your chakras taking any excess energy back into the earth. Shower again with white light then re-earth yourself. Bring earth energy up through your root chakra and re-energize your body. Do the same with the spirit light so that you are heaven and earth. Bring divine light into your crown chakra filling your body with the light of spirit. wrap yourself in a cloak of protection - whatever color feels right for you. Now put yourself into a bubble of light that only allows positive energy to enter. If you need extra protection visualize mirrors on the outside of your field facing outward.
Now, like a balloon releasing air, contract your auric field and bring it closer to your body. Reduce in size each of your chakras and take the excess energy back into the earth. Shrink your crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral center, and root chakras, and shower again with white light. Good. Wrap yourself in a cloak of protection - whatever color feels right for you in this moment – make sure that it covers your head and touches the floor protecting you completely. Now put yourself into a bubble of light that will only allow positive energy to penetrate it. If you feel that you need extra protection visualize mirrors on the outside of your light bubble facing outward. When you are ready take a deep breath in and as you breath out, open your eyes and stretch your body.
If you do not feel grounded cleanse and close your chakras again until you do.
Cutting The Ties That Bind
We all create cords to people we have had relationships with or associations or interactions. The cords are energy ties to certain areas of our energy bodies depending on the kind of interactions we had. For instance, control energy would be 3rd of power and 6th of fear. A parent cord would be 3rd of power and 4th of love. Some cords are contracts with people that have agreed to help us work through our lessons in life. We need to recognize these, ask what it is there for, why we are connected to this person, what we have to learn from them and what they have to learn from us. Contract cords may not be suitable for cutting.
The color of the cord can tell you a lot about the information coming through it, why it was formed and why it stays in place. The material or texture of a cord shows the intention with which it was made soft or hard as steel, warm and light or dark and heavy. The thickness of the cord means the level of involvement – the heart chakra may show affinity between two people, third chakra may show a competitive interaction. Most cords fade away after the communication or interaction is over. Others remain depending on the intensity and duration of the involvement. We keep some cords alive - a heart cord with a special person. I cut the cords with all the men in my life and they came looking for me. Doing this energetically is very powerful. Cords will return as you interact again. Cords with loved ones never really go away.

Other cords can be cut using the “Cutting the Ties That Bind,” exercise by Phyllis Krystal to remove the energy of unhealthy relationships from your auric field. Visualize an infinity sign with the inner circles colored white and the outer circles colored violet – violet is transformation and white is new beginning. Imagine you are standing in one side of the figure eight and the person you want to let go of is standing in the other side. Then imagine you are having a conversation and you are telling this person how much he or she has helped you in your life, how much you appreciate the experience. See the cords that connect you to the person, ask for the cords that need to be cut to light up.
Then using a pair of golden scissors cut the energy cords you have built between you seeing the cord ends absorbed by yours and the other persons being, making sure that the cords are healed and sealed. When you have finished thank the person for their friendship and then proceed to cut the circles in half allowing each half to become a complete circle. Wave good-bye and see them in their circle leaving your auric field floating into the distance. Do this daily until you feel they have been released
Meditation
Meditation means to go into the center. It is single mindful attention based in the present moment. Meditation helps you to take a holy moment. The poet Kabir called God “The Guest.” When you meditate you go into a sacred space, your guest room, to reconvene and be with yourself and that aspect of you which is God.
Meditation practice should be done sitting up preferably in the Egyptian position otherwise you’ll fall to sleep when you lie down. Ideally it is best to meditate first thing in the morning. It sets the tone for your day and helps you keep centered. If you cannot manage this then meditate before a big meal or at least 2 hours afterwards. When you eat the blood flow goes to your stomach taking up energy and predisposing your consciousness to sleep once your eyes are closed.
However, some people fall to sleep because they are not used to being with themselves and they cannot cope with it. Problems with meditation can be resistance from your ego mind, an unconscious resistance to something related to an area of emotional pain. If you are bothered by unwanted thoughts during meditation just notice them, acknowledge them and return to your focus.
Try to make it a daily practice to meditate each day. 10 minutes a day, in the morning when you get up. Here is a meditation you can try each day. Change it to suit your practice.
Daily Meditation
Find yourself a comfortable position. Close your eyes and take a few deep cleansing breaths.
Give anything you have been holding onto any negativity into the light.
Great spirit. Surround me with your light, love, peace, and power. Help me to be at one with you. (You can say your part of the prayer – whatever you are working with at the moment)
Bless you.
Ground yourself by imagining roots going from your feet and the base of your spine down, down, down, into the center of the earth. Ask Gaia (the earth goddess) to share her energy with you and bring this energy up through your roots into your root chakra and up into your body. Feel the magnetic energy of the earth energizing your body.
Visualize a ball of golden light above your head. This is the light of the divine, Great Spirit, God. Feel this energy flood your crown chakra and your body with wonderful golden light. Focus on this light for 10 minutes, soaking up this energy. Remember to breath. If it makes it easier to stay in the present moment focus on your breath.
Say a prayer of thanks acknowledging those in spirit who work with you - your guides, guardian angels, higher self, friends, family and guardians.
To close down from the meditation visualize a shower of white light above your head showering and cleansing your bodies. Then wrap yourself in a cloak of protection - whatever color feels right for you. Make sure your cloak covers your head and touches the floor, covering your feet. Now put yourself into a bubble of light that only allows positive energy to enter. If you need extra protection visualize mirrors on the outside of your field facing outward.
The Secret Colors Your Name Reveals
All life has a colorful and musical harmonic rhythm. We think of life as human, animal, vegetable, and mineral, but what about the life in your name? Each letter of the alphabet vibrates to a specific musical note and color. Your name is a pulsing assortment of vibrational energy that can be played by an orchestra or creatively expressed on canvas by an artist.
Altering your name adjusts your vibrational make-up, an energy that women may well appreciate more than men. When I married my name changed transforming not only my title but something within my psyche too. My husband changed his name to honor his family line it also shifted his energy and his life.
Every time your name is uttered its vibrational energy showers your auric field. The right name with positive vibrations can transform who you are and the path you are on.
| INDIGO | VIOLET | RED | ORANGE | YELLOW | GREEN | BLUE |
| A | B | C | D | E | F | G |

| Truth | Idealistic | Hot-Blooded | Adaptable | Nervous | Balanced | Healing |
| Asleep | Pompous | Dependent | Stingy | Stuck |
The quantity of each color in your name also has bearing on the vibrational energy present. Missing colors are areas of our lives we need to work on. Vowels are feminine and convey the intuitive, receptive side of our being. Consonants are masculine relating to the active, forceful side of our nature. Use the chart above and below to interpret the energy of your name. I will use my name as an example:
| 1 | Path of Leadership |
| 2 | Path of Creativity |
| 3 | Path of Intellect |
| 4 | Path of Practicality |
| 5 | Path of Communication |
| 6 | Path of Responsibility |

| Y | Y | V | Y | I | V | Y | G | I | I | I | O | V | Y | O |
There are four yellows and four indigos, both with an equal number of consonants and vowels. Yellow symbolizes the solar plexus, the power center. Indigo represents the third eye, the point of intuition. In my practice these are the two most important energies for me. The interesting thing is that yellow is a very outgoing color while indigo is a little more insular, perfectly describing the two sides to my character. These two energies blend intellect with imagination, the three violets express my spirituality, two oranges show my creative side and the one green is my ability to create healing and balance within my life. The missing colors, red and blue, are two areas I have to confront or invite into my life - grounded communication, success, and stability.
Let’s take a look at some of today’s New Age luminaries. First we’ll start with Doreen Virtue.
| D | O | R | E | E | N | V | I | R | T | U | E | |
| O | I | O | Y | Y | B | I | V | O | G | B | Y |
Doreen Virtue’s colors reveal strong orange and yellow aspects reflecting leadership qualities. These colors mixed together make gold and angels often relate to gold and they are in perfect balance of male and female energies. She really expresses her power in a creative way, is a flamboyant energy, very open, extremely sensitive, probably child like at times, but also a power to be reckoned with.
The number three is the path of the intellect, but hers mixes with her creative energy, so it shows she has a good mind. Her blue is the path of creativity connecting with her writing often including occult or hidden energy – indigo, again perfectly balanced. Finally the green heart and violet crown reveal that she is here to change and have a profound impact on the world.
The well-known pioneer Caroline Myss is next.
| C | A | R | O | L | I | N | E | M | Y | S | S | |
| R | I | O | I | Y | V | B | Y | G | O | Y | Y |
The most interesting thing about Caroline Myss’ name is it has all the colors. The dominant energy is yellow contained within the path of practicality. She would not suffer those who do not use their intellect or their common sense revealed by the larger number of masculine consonants. The yellow gives her the ability to listen to someone and make sense of everything even if they didn’t get it. So it may be frustrating for her at times when her pioneering spirit is not heard or understood. She gets it! That is her gift.
The indigo as her creativity is her third eye, her ability to see. Sometimes she has to take care not to get her mind in the way of her intuition – but then who doesn’t! And the orange equal with indigo supports her writing, but makes her produce rather than just think about it. The equal blue, red, green and violet shows that she can express herself on many different levels, but she does not always share her deepest spiritual ideals with everyone.
Let’s take a look at Sonia Choquette.
| S | O | N | I | A | C | H | O | Q | U | E | T | T | E | |
| Y | I | B | V | I | R | I | I | R | B | Y | G | G | Y |
Four indigos, this is Sonia Choquette’s path of practicality and it perfectly reveals that her thought process is entwined with her intuition especially since it is so feminine. Three yellows support her path of intellect, which almost balances her intuition, but her intuitive essence has the upper edge. The blue and green colors as her path of creativity shows that she speaks from her heart and can tend to let her emotions get the better of her. Her healing ability would come from her voice, however that may be expressed. And the red reveals she is a down to earth psychic who expresses herself creatively and playfully.
The missing color is orange reflecting she may be too sensitive at times and take things personally. Orange is the color of addictions, so she might exhibit some addictive behavior by becoming too fixed on something that could narrow her choices.
Finally we will look at Louise L. Hay.
| L | O | U | I | S | E | L. | H | A | Y | ||
| Y | I | B | V | Y | Y | Y | I | I | O |
With four yellows Louise Hay is certainly showing her leadership qualities and power in a very practical and balanced way. She shines a light for others to find their path. Her second color is indigo, but this is mostly internalized meaning she may not always verbalize her intuition when making decisions, but she does use this ability in her life. One blue, orange and violet feels like she has had some issues in relationships, karmic connections, and suffered much at the hands of others. Through the orange she has shared her past, but the blue and violet show the internal bruises remain like a tattoo.
She is learning in this lifetime the path of red and green, complimentary opposites on the color wheel. These are life and death colors, so she would have been faced with many decisions of whether or not to stay or leave. Both colors are about growth and not allowing stagnation to set in.
When you come to play with your own colors remember to use your intuition. Try not to intellectualize the process too much. And just have fun!
