Aura-Soma: A Message in a Bottle
Aura-Soma - Born of the Goddess
Aura-Soma, a soul related system of dual colored bottles, began in a garage in England. Born through the blind apothecarist Vicky wall's clairvoyant vision and described as a "Mirror for the Soul," Aura-Soma is a unique facet of color therapy that has the potential to heal on all levels. Containing natural coloring, oil, water from the Chalice well in Glastonbury, herbal and crystal essences, aromatherapy oils and of course love, Aura-Soma is a complete system that allows an individual's intuitive insight to attract the right healing tool.
"Divide the waters, my child," Vicky had been told during a meditation in the early 1980's. She had no recollection of how she created the first Aura-Soma color bottles. It was as if unseen hands guided hers. Nor had she any idea of the bottles use. Standing in front of them they seemed to communicate their name and meaning of "Balance." Their "Aura-Soma" title was yet to be discovered.
Aura-Soma Balance
Divinely inspired, the Balance bottles first appeared at a conference where their purpose became clear. Some people were attracted to them because they were going through emotional change. Those needing assistance with physical issues also gravitated toward the bottles. Others just loved the calming influence of their gem-like appearance. Although Vicky had little knowledge of color she came to realize that identifiable challenges were reflected by specific color combinations. She quickly recognized their ability to heal on many different levels of being.
The Meaning of Aura-Soma
The name Aura-Soma came to Vicky in another meditation. Aura, derived from the ancient Greek word for "light," is the electromagnetic energy field surrounding all consciousness. The auric field is made up of many different dimensions containing a variety of color. Soma the Greek for "being," also Sanskrit for "Living Energies," represents the body or vehicle of expression on various levels. When a color is worn its energy is absorbed by the auric field of the wearer. Sometimes the energy field vibrates to a different color, so the same color worn on a different day may look out of balance.
Aura-Soma is the first system to harmoniously combine color with the innate healing properties of the natural world. Using the vibrational element of each component as part of a key to unlock the door to consciousness, the un-intrusive beauty of the Aura-Soma system empowers each individual to recognize his or her vibratory make-up within the chosen colors. Vicky's understanding of the energies held within the Aura-Soma Balance bottles came from her inner vision and clairvoyant realizations. For example, she recognized that many Atlantean souls were drawn toward the turquoise and blue range of Aura-Soma bottles, healers were attracted to the violet vibrations, and inter-planetary healers connected with gold and violet.
Connecting to Your Aura-Soma Balance Bottles
The Aura-Soma Balance oils or Equilibrium as they are also known, synchronize the wavelengths of the body's electromagnetic energy system. We are "Hue-man" beings and are essentially composed of light and color. Each individual is attracted to the colors he or she currently vibrates with. A consultation with an Aura-Soma practitioner consists of a choice of four bottles. Once chosen the practitioner will tell your story through the chosen colors, missing colors, the numerological influence of each bottle and its relationship with the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. The chosen colors mirror a small aspect of the consciousness of the chooser at that moment in time. If the bottles are chosen at different times they may reflect another aspect of the chooser, just like chapters in the story of your life.
Naming the Aura-Soma Bottles
In Vicky's studio were she kept her Aura-Soma Balance bottles, her all green herb oil kept losing its color. She noticed that a peach tree in the garden was ailing and wondered if that had anything to do with the disappearance of the green within the bottle. She was intuitively drawn to place a red/green balance bottle in the ground next to the trees roots.
Some time later the bottle was found by a friend with all the color drained. The peach tree recovered and the following year it was laden with fruit, more than it had ever been before. Not only that the fruit had changed from a creamy color to a beautiful rose pink. This particular Aura-Soma bottle was named, "Go hug a tree!"
The bottles mirror consciousness. Sometimes the colors within the Aura-Soma bottles change reflecting whatever issues the owner is confronting at the time. The color can be completely drained from the bottle if that person needs more of a particular vibration to become whole again.
As a mirror of the soul, Aura-Soma reflects an aspect of the soul's purpose during this lifetime, the lessons an individual has chosen to experience, the gifts gained and the tools to achieve fulfillment of this desired objective. Through the magic of the color-infused oil and water we can see our true reflection, minus the ego and all the shackles of this lifetime. Its purity and innocence vibrate within each Aura-Soma bottle as if we are being seen and accepted for the first time.
Aura-Soma Pomanders
Aura-Soma produces a range of support systems to align the subtle bodies with a chosen path. The Pocket Pomander is one of these supportive elements used to strengthen and protect the auric field. The Pomanders contain many different herbs and come in fifteen colors. By accident the Pomanders strength was proven through the Kirlian photography images taken at one of Vicky's Aura-Soma workshops. A way of photographing the electromagnetic emanations from a living organism, the photos showed a brighter corona around the fingertips of the people who had used the Pomanders.
Aura-Soma Pomanders can protect the field from environmental drainage as well as from those with vampire-like energy and are particularly useful against any negative or challenging energy.

Aura Soma - A Message from the Masters - The Quintessence
Another wonderful gift from Aura-Soma is the Master Quintessence. Each Aura-Soma Quintessence is unique and invokes the positive energies of its color. They work on a higher vibrational level than the Pomanders, opening up a pathway to the intuitive and spiritual perceptions within the being. Each Master energy reflects a higher level of consciousness.

Using Aura-Soma
Aura-Soma is a wonderful way to reconnect your body, soul, and spirit, assisting this collective energy to work in harmony. There are many copies of the Aura-Soma soul system, but none compare to the beauty nor the spirit of Vicky Wall's original Aura-Soma bottles. It is an evolving system currently comprising 106 balance bottles, 15 pomanders, 15 quintessence's, and various other balance products. Just being in the presence of the Aura-Soma Balance bottles is healing, and this is the most important aspect of our journey through this lifetime - to be healed!
My Work
I became interested in color symbolism as a child. Able to perceive auric energies from a very young age my mother, a yogini, encouraged and supported my ability, occasionally interpreting the colors I saw. She gave me a number of books on the subject but these held little information about the colors and combinations of color. At first I wondered if the people who wrote the books had actually what I was seeing as the interpretations differed and many did not ring true. I discovered that each person had their own interpretation and that color would reflect their view, but not in every case.
Twenty years ago I trained as a Color Therapist and through this discovered Aura-Soma. This beautiful system helped me appreciate the symbolic meaning of color combinations within the auric field. It is not just a case of one dominant color within a field. Your whole life, past, present, and potential, is held within this living organism. There are many colors, although there is often times a dominant energy.
In my counseling sessions I use Aura-Soma bottles in conjunction with my ability to see auric energy fields. Sometimes I see more color than my clients choose. I believe I am seeing a greater picture of who they are, maybe going deeper into their soul than they have chosen to look. We are on a path of healing. Any tool that can help us connect to a deeper aspect of ourselves is a valuable asset for self-healing, self-knowledge, and enlightenment.

Color
Red
Symbolizing awakening red exudes power, energy, and a passion for life. Red is known to heal sexual difficulties and anemia.
Truth: movement; new beginnings; decisions; passion; love; energy; life; security.
Challenge: anger; frustration; lethargy; nervousness.
Wear red when:
You want your sexuality to exude from your being.
Your energy is low and you need a boost.
You want to be more assertive and want to make things happen faster.
Don’t wear red when:
You are feeling nervous
You don’t want attention
You are feeling frustrated and angry with everyone.
Orange
Often worn by eastern aesthetics, orange is associated with vibrant health. It has the same vibrational frequency as DNA, the template of all human cells. This color is known to heal shock.

Challenge: shock; fear of survival; dependency; letting go; control.
Wear orange when:
You want to fun and your sensual circuits need to boost.

Yellow
A color often worn by entertainers, because it makes them stand out in a crowd and confronts the challenge of being center of attention. Yellow is known to heal the digestive tract.
Truth: freedom; optimism; mental activity: concentration: open-mindedness
Challenge: fear; no boundaries; negativity; timidity.
Wear yellow when:
You need to attend to details.
You are studying and need to keep your mind awake.
You want to infuse some joy into your life.
Don’t wear yellow when:
You feel fear.
You don’t want to be the center of attention.
You want to relax your mind.
Green
Those seeking their own identity, fulfillment of their heart’s desire, and/or are searching for a new direction, are drawn to wear this color. By doing so they are challenged to find ways of creating their own abundance. Green heals the heart, eases tension, and regenerates cells.
Truth: security; abundance; nature; heart matters; new space/beginnings; balance.
Challenge: unrealistic; shying away from people/society; stagnancy.
Wear green when:
You want to see things from a different perspective.
You desire to feel more space around you.
You need to feel like both feet are on the ground.
Don’t wear green when:
You are confused about where life is taking you.
You feel your life is stagnant.

Blue
“True blue” symbolizing devotion to duty worn by most authority figures - nurses, policemen, etc. Anyone who consistently wears blue are deep thinkers and tend to re-energize by seeking their own company above that of others.
Truth: authority; peace; organized; practical; devotion; structure; communication
Challenge: aloofness; control issues; isolation; depression; martyrdom.
Wear blue when:
You want to exude an air of calm authority.
You need to be more organized.
You want to communicate something important.
Don’t wear blue when:
You are feeling isolated or lonely.
You feel depressed.
You are being too critical of both yourself and others.
Violet
Violet can indicate major change and a need to retreat, as a caterpillar retreats into a cocoon before it transforms into a butterfly.
Truth: transformation; spiritual self-realization; truth; creativity; recovery; healing.
Challenge: pain; misuse of power; bruising; looking for a way out; grief; unemotional.
Wear violet when:
You want to transform something in your life.
You are seeking purpose in your life.
You need to let go of destructive behavior or addictions.
Don’t wear violet when:
You are daydreaming instead of doing.
You want to turn your back on society.
You suffer grief but your emotions are blocked.
Pink
Pink symbolizes unconditional love. Wearing it encourages a sense of affection, increases sensitivity, and challenges you to confront your vulnerabilities.
Truth: unconditional love; affection; flirting; open to love; hearing.
Challenge: lack of self-love/self-esteem; healing grief; immaturity; vulnerable.
Wear pink when:
You want to feel feminine and vulnerable.
You want others to love you instantly.
You need to concentrate and listen.

You feel fragmented.
Brown
The symbolism of color is based in part on the natural world. For instance soil offers some insight into the meaning of brown - needed to grow food, without it we would be challenged to find ways to survive.
Truth: security; practicality; work; money; commitments; determination to succeed.
Challenge: loss of security; lack of money; fear of survival.
Wear brown when:
You need to get down to some hard work.
You want to organize your finances
You want to feel that everything in your life is going well.
Don’t wear brown when:
You want to expend lots of energy.
You are feeling too bogged down with things.
You are not interested in hard work and want to play instead.
Turquoise
Known to enhance healing of the immune system, useful for illnesses such as AIDS. Native Americans use the semi-precious stone Turquoise as an allergy healer, also an autoimmune condition.
Truth: communication; lecturing; media; creativity; immune system healer.
Challenge: inability/unwilling to communicate; poor defense; rejection
Wear turquoise when:
You are lecturing - especially around the throat.
You want to tap into your creativity through dance, music, art, etc.
You want to connect with your own spirituality.
Don’t wear turquoise when:
You feel rejected.
You don’t want to ‘talk about it!’
You are more interested in yourself and not others.
Body language
Once you have mastered the art of color interpretation begin to incorporate the body language of color. For example, legs symbolize movement - moving forward, backward or standing still. Green worn in this area might signify a move to the country; standing still and feeling stagnant; or walking back into ones past. Alternatively, it could indicate a move toward making or saving money, or, signify a lack of abundance due to lack of movement. On the other hand, wearing green may be a subconscious desire to attract abundance.
Head - how we feel about ourselves
Neck - flexibility of thinking and communication (openness)
Front - capacity to give and receive life
Back - support
Midline - ability to assimilate life
Arms - life experience
Hands - abilities
Genitals - sexuality
Legs - movement
Knees - flexibility to change
Feet - understanding of ourselves and of life
Have fun with analyzing your choice of color. As you become adept you will attain an understanding of yours and others motivations. Gradually your individual experience will color your interpretations.
At least for the time being you will be more aware of what your clothes are saying to those around you, and what you want them to say!
The Secret Colors Your Name Reveals
All life has a colorful and musical harmonic rhythm. We think of life as human, animal, vegetable, and mineral, but what about the life in your name? Each letter of the alphabet vibrates to a specific musical note and color. Your name is a pulsing assortment of vibrational energy that can be played by an orchestra or creatively expressed on canvas by an artist.
Altering your name adjusts your vibrational make-up, an energy that women may well appreciate more than men. When I married my name changed transforming not only my title but something within my psyche too. My husband changed his name to honor his family line it also shifted his energy and his life.
Every time your name is uttered its vibrational energy showers your auric field. The right name with positive vibrations can transform who you are and the path you are on.

Vowels are feminine and convey the intuitive, receptive side of our being. Consonants are masculine relating to the active, forceful side of our nature. There are four yellows and four indigos, both with an equal number of consonants and vowels. Yellow symbolizes the solar plexus, the power center. Indigo represents the third eye, the point of intuition. In my practice these are the two most important energies for me. The interesting thing is that yellow is a very outgoing color while indigo is a little more insular, perfectly describing the two sides to my character. These two energies blend intellect with imagination, the three violets express my spirituality, two oranges show my creative side and the one green is my ability to create healing and balance within my life. The missing colors, red and blue, are two areas I have to confront or invite into my life - grounded communication, success, and stability.
Let’s take a look at some of today’s New Age luminaries. First we’ll start with Doreen Virtue.

Doreen Virtue’s colors reveal strong orange and yellow aspects reflecting leadership qualities. These colors mixed together make gold and angels often relate to gold and they are in perfect balance of male and female energies. She really expresses her power in a creative way, is a flamboyant energy, very open, extremely sensitive, probably child like at times, but also a power to be reckoned with.
The number three is the path of the intellect, but hers mixes with her creative energy, so it shows she has a good mind. Her blue is the path of creativity connecting with her writing often including occult or hidden energy – indigo, again perfectly balanced. Finally the green heart and violet crown reveal that she is here to change and have a profound impact on the world.
The well-known pioneer Caroline Myss is next.

The most interesting thing about Caroline Myss’ name is it has all the colors. The dominant energy is yellow contained within the path of practicality. She would not suffer those who do not use their intellect or their common sense revealed by the larger number of masculine consonants. The yellow gives her the ability to listen to someone and make sense of everything even if they didn’t get it. So it may be frustrating for her at times when her pioneering spirit is not heard or understood. She gets it! That is her gift.
The indigo as her creativity is her third eye, her ability to see. Sometimes she has to take care not to get her mind in the way of her intuition – but then who doesn’t! And the orange equal with indigo supports her writing, but makes her produce rather than just think about it. The equal blue, red, green and violet shows that she can express herself on many different levels, but she does not always share her deepest spiritual ideals with everyone.

Four indigos, this is Sonia Choquette’s path of practicality and it perfectly reveals that her thought process is entwined with her intuition especially since it is so feminine. Three yellows support her path of intellect, which almost balances her intuition, but her intuitive essence has the upper edge. The blue and green colors as her path of creativity shows that she speaks from her heart and can tend to let her emotions get the better of her. Her healing ability would come from her voice, however that may be expressed. And the red reveals she is a down to earth psychic who expresses herself creatively and playfully.
The missing color is orange reflecting she may be too sensitive at times and take things personally. Orange is the color of addictions, so she might exhibit some addictive behavior by becoming too fixed on something that could narrow her choices.
Finally we will look at Louise L. Hay.

With four yellows Louise Hay is certainly showing her leadership qualities and power in a very practical and balanced way. She shines a light for others to find their path. Her second color is indigo, but this is mostly internalized meaning she may not always verbalize her intuition when making decisions, but she does use this ability in her life. One blue, orange and violet feels like she has had some issues in relationships, karmic connections, and suffered much at the hands of others. Through the orange she has shared her past, but the blue and violet show the internal bruises remain like a tattoo.
She is learning in this lifetime the path of red and green, complimentary opposites on the color wheel. These are life and death colors, so she would have been faced with many decisions of whether or not to stay or leave. Both colors are about growth and not allowing stagnation to set in.
When you come to play with your own colors remember to use your intuition. Try not to intellectualize the process too much. And just have fun!
