Carnival of Healing #173 Sealed With Love

I am delighted and honored to be hosting the Carnival of Healing #173 during this special week in history/herstory, and I am especially grateful to About.com’s Guide to Holistic Healing, Phylameana Iila Desy for giving me the opportunity to host my first carnival. The Carnival of Healing is a weekly round up of personal blog posts on the topics of holistic health, wellness, spirituality, and self-empowerment. Next week Nina Dixon will be hosting Carnival #174.

This week’s blog roll is about the abundant mysticism of you!
1 – is the number of the Sun reflecting individuality and the Divine Spark
7 – symbolizes Neptune the planet of mysticism and imagination
3 – is for Jupiter, the planet of abundance and expansion

I work with color. Having seen auras since childhood color interpretation comes naturally to me. So, to guide you on this blog journey I have created this week’s carnival to reflect the colors and symbolism of the seven major hue-man chakras. If you are not familiar with chakras they are like an energetic alimentary canal - they take energy in, process it, and then eliminate whatever is not needed. They are particularly susceptible to thoughts, emotions, and beliefs, and especially sensitive to the environment. Each blog entry comes under a color with a subheading that reflects the gifts or challenges of that color.

Red

Manifestation
Daylle Deanna Schwartz author and self-empowerment counselor has travelled a road that many have journeyed, but few have written about. Her latest series of Law of Attraction articles focuses on the impact that negative news - from the down turn in the economy to a flu epidemic – can have on us. Daylle presents the principles of resonance in a way that highlights their true meaning. In her words, “Though the economy is creating a negative environment, you can keep your own little corner of the world positive.”

Food
We know that antioxidants are good for us, but why are they beneficial and where do they come from? What Antioxidants Really do and Easy Ways to Get Enough answers these questions, and the inclusion of an Indigo super-food didn’t escape my notice – keeps my color buds happy!

Flow
MonaVie, heralded by many as a miracle drink has some claiming it is a scam, while others who use it professes to its benefits. Decide for yourself. Read both the MonaVie article and the comments to get the two sides of the story.

Structure
As a computer user I appreciate Dean Moyer’s tips for avoiding back trouble and ways to Prevent Back Pain with an Ergonomic Workstation. He supports his post with an amusing backdrop of photographs.

Flexibility
In similar vein, Tracy Aiello’s Inner Peace blog offers five-minute yoga tips for office slouches.

Diet
Organic food might be an ideal choice, but for a family on a budget not necessarily a wise one. Tiffany Washko offers tips and sound advice on How to Save Money on Healthy Organic Foods

Movement
If you are pregnant and you are concerned about a breech birth, here are some Tips for Turning Your Baby From Breech Position Naturally.

Allergies
Amy Dumas writes a blog on eating healthy and eliminating allergies. I believe many health problems are related to food allergies. This post explains how the Elimination Diet can be used to determine whether or not health issues are related to food sensitivities.

Creativity
We all have different ways of connecting with and expressing our creativity. Chris Edgar shares his liberating realization that his creativity is stimulated by doing nothing except opening his mind to receive insights, a bit like finding your keys when you stop looking for them. Let Go of Responsibility for Your Ideas

Health
Christy Goldfeder’s wonderful blog offers delicious advice and healthy recipes. In her latest post, Yes We Can Help Obama Reform Healthcare, she empowers readers to take responsibility for their health, not just for themselves, but for their country as well.

Yellow

Cleansing
I often see yellow in the auras of those who are going through some form of internal or external cleanse, so when I read Amethyst Wyldfyre’s inspired blog article, The Visionary Vibe Report January Clearance, aligning personal cleansing with the January sales, I had one of those “AHA” moments that was very yellow!

Fear
In, Heroes - Do We Need Them? Steve N. Lee explores his fear of spiders. He uses his unique and thought provoking insights to share how he overcame his fear, with a little help from Lucy.

Cleanliness
“Cleanliness is next to Godliness,” but what if you are allergic to the cleaners, what then? Find out in To Clean or Not to Clean

Green

Love
Michael Plishka brings creative passion into everything he does. His blog focuses on helping people to be authentically human by fully engaging their creativity. In this article he pays tribute to the story of a man who teaches graciousness, respect, and love. Creativity, Love, and Dr Martin Luther King JR

Forgiveness
One of the reasons many of us are attracted to the healing profession is because we recognize a need to heal ourselves. Author and psychic medium Carole Lynne shares memories of her mother in My Mother’s Sewing Basket and relating how important it is to forgive. This post triggered a flurry of comments from her readers.

Balance
John Wolfe believes that each and every one of our actions, no matter how trivial, creates an impact; not only in our lives, but in the lives of others as well. Evoking Change Through Uplifting Action is a lesson in how to deal with the law of cause and effect.

Blue

Peace
Angel Messenger Karen Paolino’s article Discover Peace in Any Moment reminds us to breathe, not just because it is part of life. She asks us to notice the moment when we hold our breath, and prompts us to let go of all pain and breathe in peace.

Inspiration
Noticing the breath is a large part of yoga practice. In yoga teacher Grace Gravelle’s post Inhale Exhale she asks - how can you relish and savor your breath?

Communication
As we know words carry vibration. Alika Medeiros shares the spirit of Hawaii, his native land in the greeting ALOHA to the World.

Vibration
Bailey Earith is a professional fiber artist. Her blog contains so many interesting posts and snippets of information that it truly resonated with my creative soul. One of the most intriguing is a small piece entitled, Cymatics:The Mandalas of Sound. Cymatics is the study of sound wave vibration and its effects on physical matter.

Indigo

Dreams
What’s Important Now is the title of Win Harper’s thought provoking blog. He is a Life Coach, former Marine, and my wonderful husband. He posts weekly articles sharing his life experiences and includes exercises designed to inspire you to action. His latest post Changes honors this eventful week with an exercise entitled I Have a Dream.

Imagination
Aquatic Bodywork is a modality I had never heard of until I checked Sara Firman’s blog Diving Deeper. I was delighted to discover the name Sulis in her url, a Goddess of healing waters and one of my sacred names. This article explains how the combined use of water, movement, and music can stimulate the creative potential and awaken the artist within.

Vision
Jacob Teitelbaum MD writes a complementary medicine blog for Psychology Today. He currently has a series on eye health and in his latest post shares his reason for drastic measures when there is Vision Loss in One Eye.

Violet

Transformation
We are constantly changing and yet many of us resist it. Lissa Rankin MD is no different. Owning Change shares her continuing journey from naming her solo art show, to embracing the changes she wished for and is currently manifesting in her life.

Goals
Anita Boser writes a blog on aging gracefully. Using the wisdom of Patangali’s Yoga Sutras, she has created Seven Steps to Achieving New Year’s Goals. This is a fitness format, but it could just as easily be associated with other goals.

Future
The final blog entry comes from Life Coach, Colette Ellis. As we in the United States watch the new government with hope, she asks a pertinent question - What Will Be YOUR Call To Action Over the Next 100 Days?

This concludes the Sealed With Love edition of the Carnival of Healing. Submit your blog article to the next edition using the carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on the blog carnival index page.Thank you for joining me.

Your WinC Spot (Week in Color Forecast) For the Week of 2nd February 2009

Before you read this week’s WinC Spot and with the intention of receiving information about your week ahead, choose one of the following colors - Blue, Charcoal, or Orange  Now, go ahead and read your color forecast!

Blue

Letting Go!

You have been holding on to some unhealthy habits, relationships, and beliefs and it is high time you recognized how this is shaping your life. The image for you this week is of a blue pair of scissors. These are available for you to cut away anything that is not working for you, such as a relationship that is less than satisfactory or a job that does not fulfill you. Blue is the color of communication, so it might just be that you need to speak up and ask for what you want instead of complaining. On the articles page of my website you will find a wonderful exercise to Cut the Ties that Bind. Use this to consciously and energetically sever the ties that no longer serve you and give you the space to create a life you love. This week your energy may be a little lower than normal. It is a reflection of the emotional weight you have held onto and one way or another this is about to shift.

Charcoal

Finding the right key!

You have been hitting a few wrong keys lately, but nothing that can’t be corrected. Take a little time to center and make a list of 10 things you would like to go back and change. Then imagine that you are erasing them and seamlessly replacing them with corrections. Everything is energy so on an energy level anything and everything is possible. Your intentions are important this week, as you will soon discover. Your thought is creating much faster than it used to. So, as you re-write your past consider how you would like the next 20 years in your future to look too. Check out Win’s blog for a little help. He asks you to email him about the one thing you asked for or said no to today and he will send you a link to his Future Self guided meditation. This meditation allows you to visit yourself 20 years from today, and to get to know the person you are becoming.

Orange

Finishing Touches!

Your excitement is almost palpable. You finally have all your ducks in a row, now all you need is that finishing touch and within the next two weeks you will know exactly what that is. You are going to ride this wave of satisfaction until April then the surge will wane. Be sure to keep all lines of communication open because around that time you will be looking for a new adventure, one that may take you either to distant lands or will connect with far off places. Mid-week expect an invitation to meet with old friends and connect with new ones. Take this opportunity to impart your creative ideas with a focus group. You don’t have to share their opinions, but it always pays to be open to others’ perspectives. The image for you this week is of sweet sticky buns with a message to stick with the people you resonate with. This is a learning curve for you as you need to be loved and accepted by everyone, but not everyone is right for you.  Read this article Chakra Series Sacral Center to understand more about yourself.

Your WinC Spot

Your weekly color forecast or Your WinC Spot is available every Monday on my blog. Very soon Your Week in Color will be coming to you in a video format. Remember to send me your ideas for colors for next weeks WinC Spot. And check back next week to find out what your colors are and how your choice reflects your week ahead.

Have a Warm Week Releasing the Blues, Finding the Right Charcoal Note & Finishing it all Off With a Touch of Orange

Your Weekly ColorScope Starting 16th February 2009

I have my video camera and the website’s set up to get my video blog onto my site. I am adding this week’s Color Forecast as text and will record and upload a Vblog later in the week. I have also decided to change the name from Your Week in Color to ColorScope as it is more in line with my current monthly ColorScope.

Before you read Your Weekly ColorScope and with the intention of receiving information about your week ahead, choose one of the following colors - Flaming Orange, Yellow Ocher, and Deep Pink  Now, go ahead and read your Color Forecast!.

Flaming Orange

Opportunities

You are in for a warmer week, and not necessarily weather-wise. This is a time of reunions with old flames, distant relatives, and school friends. Toward the end of the month you will have at least one invitation to speak of, possibly more.  Connections with your past augur that turning point you have been yearning for. You have the power now all you need is direction. One new friend will be a source of inspiration and will offer you a wealth of information. Be willing to accept what you have wished for in whatever shape or form it may take, even if it irritates you.
Try a few drops of Orange Flower essence in water to balance your emotional and mental bodies, and to kindle your enthusiasm to take the next important step in your life.

Yellow Ocher

Decisions

You belong to a close knit group of like-minded people and this week your loyalty will be put to the test. One of your group will introduce an outsider who brngs disruption to your community. Be mindful of where your energy goes. Remember to stay centered and focused on what you most want rather than on what upsets you. By doing this you will recognize the disturbance for what it really is. Toward the end of the week an intimate conversation with a friend will clarify your decisions and will somehow influence a change in your diet.
Drink lemon water or lemon tea to purify your system and place lemon peel on a heater to cleanse energy in your space.

Deep Pink

Polarities

Your week has a push and pull flavor to it as all the blessings you will receive will be balanced by challenges. A surprise gift will bring up some unexpected and welcome emotions. This will briefly lower your boundaries and open you up to some new experiences. Toward the end of the week someone close will push one of your buttons. This is a blessing in disguise provided you act on it. It will make you realize what belongs in your life and what no longer serves you. There could be talk of a trip over, by, or on the water, this may well come after spilling fluid or being caught in a rainstorm. By the week’s end you will be thankful for a rest from the emotional fulcrum.
Use Rose essential oil or rose petals in the bath to bring balance and love into your heart.

If you like Your Weekly ColorScope you are going to love my monthly color forecast too. My ColorScope is one of a kind and is updated monthly. Check back later for my first Video Color Forecast, and watch for updates on the return of the Leave it Cleaver Show.

Your Weekly ColorScope for March 21st

Before you read Your Weekly ColorScope and with the intention of receiving information about your week ahead, take a deep breath in, close your eyes and for a few moments go into your center. When you are ready ask which color best reflects your week and contains the messages you need to hear. Then choose one of the following colors -

MANDARIN, TAUPE, MUSTARD

Now, go ahead and read your Color Forecast!

Mandarin

You are a STAR!

You are about to have a very fruitful week starting with a boost of energy that will make you believe that the “powers that be” are shining favorable blessings down on you. It will also seem as if you have the right answer to everything. Take advantage of this phase, seize the day - any puzzling questions can be tackled right now. If you keep a to do list then by this time next week you will be sitting pretty having ticked off most of your chores.
Action:Keep that energy flowing; eat mandarin oranges or some other form of vitamin C.

Taupe

Building Block
s
You have some unfinished business to attend to and while this could be a little frustrating you do not have everything you require to complete the task. Rather than rushing into anything, take time out, stand back and assess what you need to get you from A to B.  You are in the process of building something that will stand the test of time, so fulfill your mission because one day some part of it will define you.
Action:Visualize having everything you need to finish the job easily and effortlessly coming to you now

Mustard

Seeds of Bliss

In the New Testament heaven is compared to a mustard seed. What does this mean for you? Well it translates to finding your bliss in the little things. Life doesn’t have to be full of bells and whistles it is often the simple things that make all the difference. So try downsizing this week and enjoy the simplicity of life. When you get down to basics you really don’t need as much as you think you’re going to need.
Action:The next time you have a sandwich, put some mustard on it, put your feet up, and chill!
